Koi Fish Butterfly Front View

This was our paper mache project we had to do in my sculpture class. It had to be nature inspired. I wanted to make something that was incorperated in nature and morph them together. While everyone was making trees and flowers, I wanted to do something big and bold and beautiful with a meaning. Since butterflies have been my inspiration this year I definatly wanted to do something related to that, but something different than what im used too. Then i thought of a koi fish, how its always the balance of life and one of the most beautiful fishes ever. So what if i combined the two and make it what it represents me. The koi fish represents my free flowing balance of life and the love of water as well and the butterfly represents the changes and the free spirit of flight, or maybe swim? O_o Haha I hopeyou all enjoy this this took A WHOLE MONTH to make. It was a pain in my rear end but it was totally worth it in they end.

Materials- Paper Mache, Paper Towels, Acrylic Paint, Black Spray Paint
